Aerolase Laser Treatments

Attention First Time Clients: Please book a Laser Consultation as your first appointment will allow us to meet and get to know each other and your skin!

Aerolase is a state-of-the-art aesthetic laser used for gentle skin tightening and rejuvenation. It effectively treats a range of skin conditions, including acne, age spots, and fine lines and wrinkles.

An Aerolase treatment takes between 15 minutes and 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Before the procedure, your skin is thoroughly cleansed. The first step is a thorough consultation and then the treatment area is prepped.

The energy emitted by the Aerolase device triggers natural collagen production, improving skin texture and tone. In the second step, the laser device is employed to address specific skin concerns, such as dark spots, and acne.

During treatment, you should feel only a mild warming sensation, and the flick of a rubber band. Patients say Aerolase treatment is much gentler and more pleasant than most other laser treatments.

Most people find that the majority of the treated areas have shown significant improvement with 2 to 3 treatments. We will give you individualized expectations during your consultation. Most hair removal results are achieved within 4-6 treatments.

More Questions About Aerolase Laser Treatments…

There is no downtime with Aerolase laser treatment. This non-invasive procedure has minimal side effects and will not leave you with prolonged skin redness. You are free to resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. Be sure to wear sunblock and avoid direct sunlight, as is necessary after any laser treatment.
Your individual treatment plan will depend on your unique skin and treatment goals. Most people who receive Aerolase laser treatments see noticeable results after three treatments, and skin quality is enhanced with each subsequent session. Most people need four to six treatments to achieve optimal results.
How long your results last can depend on several factors, including lifestyle, genetics, sun exposure, and environmental factors. For some people, results last for years, while for others, not as long. To maintain your results for longer, you may need maintenance treatments every six months. It is also essential to follow a skincare regime at home and use sunscreen every day. Fortunately, if you see new signs of aging appear, Aerolase laser treatment is available to address your concerns.

INSTRUCTIONS AND AFTERCARE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS: Please shave any area of the body to be treated either the morning of, or the night before (with the exception of the face). No waxing, threading, or tweezing. Depilatory creams may be used 3 days prior to treatment.

Aftercare: Because treated follicles have been heated, the area may feel slightly sensitive (similar to mild sunburn) from a few minutes to a day or more depending on your skin sensitivity level, hair thickness and hair color.

A soothing application (i.e. Aloe Vera, Aquaphor Healing Ointment, Biafine) and/or cool compress or ice pack (over a thin towel) may be applied until the sensation, and any redness and/or swelling subsides.

  • Avoid hot water for 24–48 hours. Occasionally, crusts may form in some spots. Do not pick at anything; it will heal in a week or so.

  • Any crusted areas should be kept extremely moist with a non-irritating moisturizer until healed.

Treatment schedule: For optimal results, multiple treatments are necessary. The number will vary depending on skin, hair type and hair color, and hormonal vs. non-hormonal areas. Treatment schedule varies between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on the body area, treatment number and prior hair removal methods. Results may be more noticeable after the second or third treatment.

Shedding: You will notice hair resurfacing from a few days to a few weeks after treatment. Gently exfoliating the area with a loofah sponge or rough wash cloth will help to lift the dead hair out of the follicles. Do not pull out hairs that are still connected. They are going through a “dying off” process and may need extra time. You may start either of these methods in a few days to a week or so, as long as the skin has returned to its original condition.

Shaving: You may shave between treatments to keep a clean look if desired. Do not wax or tweeze the new layer of hair when it starts growing in, as it needs to be in the follicle for the next treatment.
